1/6 PLTATE OCCUPATIONAL TINTYPE - TELEGRAPH LINEMAN W/ CLIMBING SPIKES & PLIERS - When I purchased this sixth plate, it took me a little while to notice that the gentleman was sitting in a chair proudly displaying his climbing spikes and a pair of sidecut pliers in one hand. He was clearly a telegraph lineman back in his day. I am baffled that \"Blue Collar Workers\" during the 19th Century wore such formal attire while on the job; unlike today\'s typical t-shirts and a pair of jeans. You are considering a rather rare occupational tintype that you do not see everyday. A great collectable image for your hard plate collection. Good luck!

CONDITION:Please view my detailed photos for the actual condition of the image and as part of my description. The sixth plate contains excellent contrast, tonal range and sharpness. The condition of the image is amazing. Rare occupational subject matter is what makes this a truly incredible 19th Century tintype. I am sure this photograph will be cherished by a fellow collector.
