Dennison was the leading manufacturer of crepe paper for almost 100 years, in the last century. They eventually sold to Avery, and became Avery Dennison, and at that time, the crepe paper was discontinued. Their crepe paper was wonderfully high quality, and could be used for all kinds of crafts. Dennison published a large number of craft how to booklets to help sell their crepe paper.
One of the most creative uses of their crepe paper was their \"crepe paper rope\". They sold \"twisters\" that could be used to make the rope, but it is pretty time consuming, and slightly difficult to do. The twisters originally (in the 1930\'s) were made from wood, but they sold later ones in the 1950\'s made from rubber. They also sold pre-made \"rope\" in the 1930\'s, which is now VERY hard to find!
This listing is for 1 roll of original, 1930\'s Dennison crepe paper rope in a light olive green (their color C6 leaf green). The rope was made in 3 sizes - 1/16\", 1/8\" and 1/4\". This listing is for the 1/8\" width, and it is 36 feet long. The rope is unused, in it\'s original packaging. Along with the rope, I am including a book on CD - Dennison\'s 1930\'s craft booklet, \"Weaving With Paper Rope\". The booklet has complete instructions for making all kinds of wonderful Art Deco items from the crepe paper rope.
