Want to add an instant vintage look to your Christmas crafts or villages? It's mica flakes! Since I started using them years ago I've found a lot of uses for them. They're not just for Christmas, they look great on Easter rabbits and Halloween ghosts. Just spray on or brush on a craft glue and sprinkle. It's a wonderful way to make some inexpensive ornaments out of a bunch of pinecones if you live in pinecone country. Or when laying out your Christmas village, sprinkle mica flakes everywhere as a final touch, really glistens and looks like snow.
Mica flakes are not pristine snow white, they're just a tad rustic looking which really gives things that antique look.
