This is an armorial plate with a raised base unidentified coat of arms. The porcelain is decorated with Chinese export-style design gilding. The numbers 1851 are on the underside.
The plate is in excellent condition with no chips, scratches or loss of gilding. The rim is smooth as glass. It shows no sign of use, except the normal roughness on the bottom rim. There are two tiny manufacturing imperfections in the porcelain that I have tried to show in the photos. They show only when light is reflected at a certain angle.
It is 10”in diameter; 1¾” in height and weighs 24¼ounces.
It was anonymously donated by an estate to a charity thrift shop at which I do volunteer work, including selling on those items which would not attract in-store buyers.
