PAIR OF CAPODIMONTE MARZAIOLA DUCKS HAND PAINTED FIGURINE
This magnificent pair of VintageCapodimonte Limited Edition Marzaiola Duck Porcelain Figurines were hand painted inItaly over 41 years ago but is brand new, just out of their shipping crate. Notice the detail in the texture of their feathered bodies and the intricate detail of the flowers on the bases. The duck on the left in the first picture is approximately 7\" tall and has a 11 1/2\" wingspan. The duck on the right is approximate 6 1/2\" tall and has a 11 3/4\"wingspan. Both ducks are in perfect condition. TheArtist etched his signature on the base of theduck on the left. Bothfigurines have the authentic Capodimonte logo on the bottom of the base which is the blue \"N\" located under the mark of their crown. This pair of ducks is numbered 609 of the limited edition of 1000. Each duck figurine comes with aCertificate of Origin (Certificato Di Origine) which includes thematching number of the edition and the actual Capodimonte artist’ssignature. These are truly a wonderful addition to anyone\'s home or office decor.
I imported porcelain and ceramic figurines from Italy to America starting over 50 years ago. I used only the finest artisans and craftsmen to reproduce wildlife, domestic pets, and unusual figurines which were found in all of the finest department stores and boutique shops throughout the United States. Viertasca was one of the foremost Italian Capodimonte artists and was well known all over the world. Capodimonte Porcelain is considered to be among the finest Italian products in the world and its fascinating origins date back to the early eighteenth century. A blue \"N\" located under the mark of a crown stamped on the bottom of the figurine designates an authentic Capodimonte figurine. In a recent move to a new facility, to our surprise, we discovered in a remote section of our massive warehouse, a limited quantity of ceramic and porcelain figurines in perfect condition. Only a few of these magnificent figurines are now available for sale. With today\'s manufacturing costs in Europe, this finepiece could never be reproduced again anywhere close to the original cost.
