Theseare a signed Mirrored Pair of MEIJI Period EarthenWare JAPANESE SATSUMA Vases with a flaring neck, with applied fixed rings and ribbon handles to the sides, painted with Samurais on the front and their attendants on the reverse, covered with fine craquelures.
The vases are12.5\" (31.8cm) tall.
There appears to be a verytiny chipon the rim of one of the vases as you can see from the picture. There are no cracks. Please use all the pictures as a major portion of the description as this is my first introduction to oriental vases. So please ask all pertinent questions before offerding as I am selling as is.
Thereare no signs of restoration on the vases under UV light.
