A superb set of 12 Royal Doulton antique porcelain dinner plates with sculpted edges. Each plate is decorated with draped swags of pink floral rosebuds accented with gold applied to the two inch rim. Signed on thereverse are handwritten production numbers with a magenta colored Royal Doulton logo. There are also impressed marks but these are difficult to read because of the ceramic glaze. The dates of production based on the logo and handwritten numbers are 1922 to 1932.The condition is very close to new. There are no chips, cracks or crazing or repairs. Six of the plates have one or two very minor surface scratches to their centers, perhaps from being stacked or knife marks, they\'re not easily seen but can be found if the plates are held up to the light at a certain angle. Otherwise this is a very fine, near perfect, original matching set.
