All of these birds originated from private breeders, not hatchery birds. I keep only the best birds in my breeding pens, so most ofmy flocks are quite small. That being said, I can not sell 12 of one variety and still have them be extremely fresh when they reach you, everything will be sold as assortments only. If you are wanting eggs from only certain varities, please contact me before offerding to see if those hens are laying at this time. White Cochin BantamFertility & Hatch: I am candling and hatching eggs on a weekly basis, and the most recent fertility check on my eggs was well over 97% and the last hatch rate was over 90%. My eggs are collected several times a day to prevent chilling and soiling and they are turned twice daily until they are shipped. I ship only the cleanest and freshest eggs I have and they will be less than 2 days old when they are shipped. However, please note shipping does put a lot of stress on hatching eggs and is said to reduce the development and hatch rate considerably, so I can not guarantee exactly how many you will have develope/hatch. Previous buyers I have shipped to have reported the average hatch rate to be about 50-60% which to my understanding is average to quite good for shipped eggs. **Again due to circumstances beyond my control during shipping and incubation I can not and will not guarantee the developement/hatch rate on any hatching eggs.Health Testing: My flock has been blood tested and certified Pullorum/Typhoid, A.I. and NDV clean by the State of Maryland as of June 2013. Handling and packaging: I am very selective about shipping only the best shaped, cleanest and freshest eggs I have to my buyers. Once each egg has been carefully checked for cleanliness, correct size, and shape, I candle them to check for any previously undetected imperfections or weaknesses in the shell that could not be seen with the naked eye and also for the correct size and placement of the air cell within the egg. Once they have passed all my tests, they will be placed in a carton, surrounded by slightly dampened pine shavings, the carton is wrapped in bubble wrap, and snuggly placed in a well padded box. It may seem like a lot of extra work but it has proven to be well worth the extra effort. I have shipped thousands of eggs over the years and I\'ve had very few reports of eggs arriving in any less than perfect condition even when the box they were in arrived in less than perfect condition.Shipping: Winning buyer pays actual shipping and handling costs.
