The 141 pieces of Vintage Grape come in 2 nice silver storage boxes. Some pieces are newer than others and there are 3 different marks; 1847 Rogers Bros 12, 1847 Rogers Bros A 1, andRogers Bros XS Triple Plated. All 141 pieces are in very good condition ( some are still in original wrappers) except for very slight pitting on the handle of one soup spoon and a rough area at the top ring on the handle of one knife. The blemishes are so slight, they will not show in a photo.
All knives are hollow handled. The 12 newer ones say \"Sheffield Stainless Bade made in England\" and the 5 older knives say \"1847 Rogers Bros\" on the blade and there is an \"S\" engraved on the handles. There is slight silver wear on one older blade.
There are 11 matching newer forks which may be luncheon forks as they are shorter (7\") than the12 hollow handled forks and the 6 older flat forks (7 1/2\"). There are 12 seafood/ cocktail forks, 2 pickle forks, a small meat (?) serving fork (6 3/4\") and a small fork that may be for a child (6 1/4\"). There are 12 butter knives/ spreaders, 12 fruit/grapefruit spoons, and 6 sugar shells.
There is one large berry spoon (9\") and a punch ladle which are both very ornate. The other serving pieces include 3 serving spoons and 2 meat serving forks. There is one bouillon spoon, one ice cream spoon, one food pusher and a small ladle.
This set include 26 teaspoons and 12 soup spoons (7 1/2\") . There are no salad forks.
What a great opportunity to acquire so many pieces of Vintage Grape at a very reasonable cost. The \" buy it now\" price of $550 is a little less than $4.00 per piece. Shipping will be significant due to the 36 lbs weight of the 2 boxes and I will have it packaged well at the Shipping Store. If it ships for less than I estimate, I will refund the difference to the buyer.
