We are offering a special and rareEversharp mechanical pencil. The 1948 Gold Envoy was Eversharp\'s most elusive model. It was manufactured and advertised for one year only then it disappeared.

In December 1948 Eversharp advertised a new penand pencil line in Life magazine. They named it the \"Top of the Line\" Envoy. Prior to this holiday season,Eversharp suffered huge financial losses due to the failure of their previous CA productline. Because of these losses, the Eversharp Board of Directors laid the blame on the company’s CEO,Martin Strauss, and fired him.

The financial losses were so great,all of Strauss\' promoted products were discontinued shortly after hisdismissal, especially Envoy which disappeared from ads and catalogsimmediately. It is near impossible to find more information about the Envoypencil! It appears that this was a single year model.

Many pens and pencils were marked as “GoldFilled” or “Gold Rolled”. What we have here is a pencil marked 14K Gold. Thispencil is in Very Fine condition with no dents, pitting, wear marks, cracks orengravings. It works smoothly and the mechanics operate perfectly. It has extra lead in the reservoir and an unused eraser. A mechanical pencil such as this is highly collectable. In its condition we can say that it is MUSEUM QUALITY.
