I showed it with a fifty cent piece and a quarter so you can get an idea of it\'s size. It measures approx 1 3/8\" wide and approx 1 3/4\" long. The coin itself measures approx 1 1/4\" Wide and 1 1/4.\" Long.

The conquests of Alexander III of Macedon, known as ‘Alexander the Great’, changed the world forever. This coin has his image on it, even though it was minted by oneof his successors.One of the most striking examples of this is seen here on a coin of Lysimachus, one of Alexander’s bodyguards. Lysimachus obtained the kingdom of Thrace in Northern Greece following Alexanders death, to which he later added parts of western Asia Minor (modern Turkey). This coins dates back to 323-281 B.C.

The coin obverse features a portrait of Alexander, with Athena enthroned on reverse, holding Nike with her right arm, and resting the left on a shield.

This coin is unconditionally guaranteed to be genuine as described. In 2005 it was appraised at $2,000. Pictures don\'t do it justice. It is much more beautiful & unusal than shown. The chain shown in a few of the pics does not go with the pendant. You are offerding on the pendant with bezel and coin.

Very interesting and unusual piece of ancient history.
