15 Handwritten Diaries Journals Bronk Clogston Family Guilderland NY 1889-1951:

WELCOMETO SALLY’S DIARIES:

I don’t have time toread these diaries as they are way too full. All of them havehandwritten entries for every day of the year. There are a total of15 diaries and the years they represent are: 1889, 1920, 1922, 1923,1926, 1927, 1933, 1934, 1935, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1940, 1951 and then afive year diary that represents the years 1946-1950. They were allwritten by Williams D. Bronk of Princetown and then Guilderland NewYork. He was born about 1867 and married Nettie B. Clogston. Thecensus records list him as a laborer and with glancing through thediaries I see that he works on many of the streets and for the publicservices in his area. He’s also a farmer. There are tons of namestoo of the folks in the area. I found several to list here:

Turnbull,Morrison, Dan Van Dyke, William McKinney, George Heagles, Oghsbury,Severson, Earl Pargburn, Andrew Quick, Angle Templar, Mary Wingate,Jane Siddle, Calkins, Van Valkenburg, Thomas Burns, John A. Marlett,Morrissy, Henry Whipples, Paige, Ken Barber, Ben Schibb, Dr. Cullen,Ostrander, Ballogh and many more.

I’m sure I spelled manyof the name wrong but you get the general idea. They are really somegreat diaries for any one interested or living in this area of NewYork State. They are all in a variety of shapes and conditions, somegood some poorer. On average they measure about 5” x 7”.
