Original large post-incunable folio of Aristotle\'s scientific works, bound in fantastic period leather with extensive tooling, the spine with gratuitous raised bands and an original handwritten title label, as shown. Published in Basel, this is Vol II only (of two) featuring magnificent typography, some in text scientific illustrated diagrams, and historiated and floriated initials and devices throughout the text.This volume is textually complete, meeting collation: [8], 640, [2]pp. Sadly, the folio is lacking the rera board and the front remains detached, although it presents well. Some wear and exposure of the leather edges of the board, as expected with age; the spine lacking the upper leather compartment at the crown. Pages clean and bright, absolutely stunning shape for age. Only marks on the title with early institutional inscription at head and editorial re-attribution in manuscript, which has been also carried out to the headings of the preliminaries, else unmarked. Text in Latin. Page edges stained red. An important scientific work of Aristotle rarely seen in this early Basel folio edition. Measures 13.5\" x 9\" x 2.25\". Good
