From a Connecticut Estate sale comes this Group of Sixteen Original 1965 TARZAN NEWSPAPER WEEKLY COMIC STRIP PROOF PRODUCTION ART PAGES Signed John Celardo.

Included are the 1965 strips for the weeks beginning December 28, January 4, 11, 18 & 25, February 1, 15 & 22, March 8, 15, 22 & 29 and April 5, 12, 19, & 26. Measuring 10” x 17”, these are all in very good condition with minor creases and tanning around the edges, one with a tear and some paper loss at the bottom margin and a couple with very minor moisture staining on the left edge...all very frameable. Of John Celardo, Wikipedia has the following: “John Celardo (December 27, 1918 – January 6, 2012) was an American comic strip and comic book artist, best known for illustrating the Tarzan comic strip.”

I have similarly aged Tarzan proofs from other artists that I will also be listing this evening. Please watch my listings for an interesting (I hope) and eclectic selection of other vintage and antique items. I am always happy to combine items to reduce overall shipping costs.
