16’Steel/Mono Surf/Pier Shark Fishing Leader
The leaders are brand new, and have never been used.These leaders are made by hand with great quality products including Big Game, HiSeas, Mustad, and Rosco.My family and I use these same leaders while casting from the pier or in thesurf. These leaders are specially madefor the sharp teeth of Sharks but are also good for Bull Redfish, Black Drum,Gaftop, Jack, and much more.
At the other end, Two Big Game Black Forged 20/0 Circle Hooks are connectedusing a double length copper barrel crimp and 350lb Rosco duo lock snap swivel. The setup allows the hooks to be switched outfor different length leaders. Each ofthe two 20/0 Circle Hooks is crimped to approximately 6’ of black vinyl coatedsteel wire threaded through the hook loop.The coating keeps the steel camouFlaged and prevents nicks. A surf weight can be attached to the Roscoduolock snap. This setup has worked flawlessly for my family for the past 10 years ofsaltwater fishing. The longer length isideal for sharks up to 7’ in length. Thesteel leader is long enough to ensure line integrity even if the shark swallowsthe bait. The dark monofilament, steelwire, hook, and hardware seem increase striking and hookup.
