Beautiful full color reprint of Johann Bayer\'s celestial chart.

This was one of the 48 constellations described by the 2nd century astronomer Ptolemy and is now one of the 88 modern day constellations.

This print is from Bayer\'s Uranometria, which is one of the most important celestial atlases of the 1600\'s and the model for star atlases that followed.

Another important feature of this atlas was the addition of a new system of stellar designation. Bayer assigned Greek letters to the most prominent stars, uswually in the order of their magnitude. He placed the letters on the charts themselves.
