Rare and absolutely stunning fine binding specimen! Supposedly created at Charenton, but \"available for purchased in Paris.\" This is a Protestant (French Geneva) edition and was probably not printed at Charenton but at Geneva.Contemporary full burgundy morocco bound in period French Fanfare style fine binding; covers elaborately and quite beautifully ruled and paneled in gilt, spine also extensively tooled in gilt, five raised bands, gilt board edges as well as page edges gilt. Externally lightly worn (some corner and extremity exposure) and truly breathtaking. Marbled pastedowns. Interior clean with all pages bound, complete and clean other than some very light foxing and a few small inscriptions/ wear to the EPs; very well preserved. Illustrated with engraved title page, as well as printers devices and music to the Psalms section, as shown. Text in French. Measures roughly 6\" x 3.5\" x 1.5\". A true gem. Good luck!
