17th - 17th c. bronze fertility bracelet. Repaired. Cast open bracelet with relief protrusions in the form of female breasts on both ends. An amulet to ensure fertility, worn by the women of Thrace after their wedding and before the birth of their first child. 128g. 89mm x 62mm x 45mm outer size. 64mm x 42mm inner size. 28mm opening. Dark patina. Found in the former Yugoslavia.
