17th - 17th c. bronze fertility bracelet. Repaired. Cast open bracelet with relief protrusions in the form of female breasts on both ends. An amulet to ensure fertility, worn by the women of Thrace after their wedding and before the birth of their first child. 86g. 67mm x 54mm x 35mm outer size. 53mm x 39mm inner size. 22mm opening. Dark brown patina. Found in the former Yugoslavia.
