Very Rare Ashkenaz 16th 17th Century, Hand Written TorahScroll on Parchment
This is one of a kind, special, ancient Torah Scroll writtenin Europe 400-500 years ago. From the style of the writing, textual minorchanges, strange letters, extra crowns, and other characteristics we concludedthis Torah is from the 16th century or the latest early 17th century. The Scroll measures about 30 incheshigh. There are 58 lines in each column.
The Torah is in good condition, each and every section ofthis complete Torah Scroll is the original 400-500 years old. Most of theletters are dark and firmly attached to the parchment. In very few places thereare light water stains which does not affect the ability to read the text.Almost all of the rare special characteristics are the original hand of theancient scribe.
Notice the scribe was writing on top of the lined parchment (unlike today where scribes write under the lines)Notice the special letter KOOF where the scribe followed an ancient costum to attach the leg of the KOOF to the top.Notice the spaces in btween the verses.
