HOW PERFECT IS THIS FOR YOUR TAVERN TABLE!!A squat Dutch black glass onion form wine bottle, ca. 1700 - 1730. Gorgeous free blown heavy glass bottle in a nice dark olive green color, referred to as black glass. This has a beautiful swirl in the glass with seed bubbles throughout....great impurities in the early glass.It has a superb rounded onion form with a high \"kick up\" base with a very distinct, sharp pontilscar. The tapering neck ends in an expanded lip over an applied string rim. This bottle is in excellent condition, being exceptionally bright and clean with NO STAINING or DULLNESS and with NO CRACKS OR CHIPS. There is some surface wear, pitting and light scratching which is to be expected. These were not treated gently....but to find one this perfect and not stained or cloudy is a real win!! This bottle stands 8 1/4\" tall and the base is 6\" in diameter.
