Comprises 4 volumes, published together here in a single folio volume and bound in early 18th century full blindstamped vellum, printed at Oxford in 1705. Illustrated with a fine engraved portrait of Hody as well as engraved vignette of the Sheldonian theatre, this volume consists of an analysis of the different Greek translations of the Old Testament, considering the Septuagint and comparing it to the Latin Vulgate of St. Jerome, examining the Hexapla of Origen and it\'s use of Symmachus, Aquila and Theodotion. Volume is complete in all respects, and in excellent condition with only some slight splittinmg and exp[sore along the spine of the front board.
