Hello - You are viewing a rare, large 95.8% Britannia StandardSilver Tablespoon dated 1711 of Queen Annes\' reign - 1702to 1714 - It was produced by Thomas Spackman - The makers mark is identifiable but only the p of Spackman is now visable -It exhibits the usual Britannia Standard Silvermarks though the Britannia hallmark is veryfaint but the Lions Face side of the Lions Head Erased hallmark is clearly identifiable- This is an example without the rat-tail to the back of the bowl -This piece appears to be in an overall very good condition especially for its age - 303 years old - just the inevitable slight surface marks from a little useage over the manydecades - Unusually, the style of this 1711 spoon is in the Olde English stylerather than theHanoverian style - The year letter is that for 1711 - There are also no signs of any initials or monograms which is a useful bonus !
