Manuscript document docketed on verso \"Coats Plea\" pertaining to the land granted by the General Assembly of Connecticut to the volunteers soldiers who participated in the Narragansett War, part of King Phillip\'s War of the latter 17th century.

This document dated 1726 at the court at Windham regarding Benjamin Coat\'s plea that land granted to him in 1700 not be part of lands seized in fee of another grantee, John Frink.

The land being part of what is now Voluntown in Connecticut.
