This document is unusual because the property concerned is copyhold, but the front part of the building is within one Manor and the back part is within a different Manor. I have not come across this before. The land that comes with the property is Freehold

Contents relate to the Lease of a property and 2 pieces of land at Plaistow for 21 years from Michaelmas 1754

The Freehold land consists of 2 Closes or pieces of Meadow or Pasture land in Plaistow in the Parish of Westham in the County of Essex

The Copyhold Messuage or Tenement is described as heretofore called the Doggs Head in the Pottage Pott but now the White Swan with the yard, garden, barn, stable, carthouse and other outhouses.

The fore part of the building is held of the Manor of Westham Burnells in the County of Essex and the back part with the outbuildings is held of the Manor of East Westham

Condition Contents complete. Small natural hole to left margin. Otherwise no holes or tears. Overall darkening to vellum. Slight creasing to some of the original fold lines. Handwriting clear and easy to read
