This is an original printing of a detailed contemporary plan of Fort Frederick, issued at the outset of the French & Indian War.The map was printed in in the November 1755 edition of the Gentleman\'s Magazine.The text describes the fort and the surrounding area, with a smaller map showing the area between the Hudson\'s River, Lake George and Lake Champlain, including a note regarding the March of General Johnson. Minor show through from front to back, else a scarce map.
