In this work Burke, who held the office of secretary to Guadaloupe in 1762, strongly advocates the British retention of the island.

CONDITION

Expertly rebound in a cloth covered binding. Externally, very smart. The book has been rebound with a large overhang to give extra protection to the delicate textblock. Internally, generally firmly bound, though first two pages are starting. Slight chipping to first few pages. Age-toned throughout with the odd spot and mark, andtidemarks to many pages.
