Features vignette of Royal Pennsylvania Arms atleft with motto \"MERCY & JUSTICE\". The back of the note shows a woodcut of a leaf (an anti-counterfeiting measure) and the words \"To Counterfeit is DEATH\" above and \"Printed by D. HALL, and W. SELLERS. 1772.\"
The wording on the front of the note is as follows:
\"Two Shillings and Six-pence.According to an Act ofGeneral Assembly ofPensilvania, passed inthe Twelfth Year of the Reign of his Majesty GEORGE the Third. Dated the3d Day ofApril, Anno Dom. 1772.\"
