Jonas Hanway (August 12, 1712 ? September 5, 1786), English traveller and philanthropist, was born at Portsmouth, on the south coast of England.

With a manual of devotion, comprehending extracts from the scriptures, prayers, hymns, religious poems, etc.

Complete in two volumes.

CONDITION

In quarter-calf bindings. Externally, rather worn, with substantial loss to the paper, rubbindg, and some evidence of past worming to the rears. Paper to the pastedowns has lifted. Internally, firmly bound.Hinges are a little strained,with title page of volume II missing.Pages are bright and clean, with just the odd spot. Overall: FAIR with a GOOD interior.
