A scarce edition of this volume ofworks by Charles Churchill.

Volume I of III only.

Charles Churchill (1732-1764) was an English poet and satirist. He is known for The Rosciad, included in this volume, which is a poem satirising the actors and actresses on the London stage at the time and features Shakespeare and Ben Jonson as characters.

With an engraved frontispiece and title page.

CONDITION

In a half calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, sound with some wear to head and tail of spine and extremities. Paper to back board is peeling at the top. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright with some spotting and staining to several pages. Early ink annotation to Page 33.Overall: GOOD.
