This document dated 1785, New York, is signed by Abraham P. Lott as alderman, a recognizance bond for Peter and James Durandt to appear in court next November and in the meantime must keep peace with the people of New York...signed at bottom by Abraham Lott. Document is 8x10, minor splits, else in overall good condition.

Abraham P. Lott( 1722-1794) was Colonel of the 3rd New York City Regiment, 1775; Delegate to the 3rd and 4th Provincial Congresses; Member of the State Assembly 1777-83; and Alderman of the City 1784. Cornelia Rapalje was named in her father’s unrecorded will of 4 Sep 1745 as the wife of Abraham Lott. Abraham P. Lott of New York executed his will on 8 Apr 1793.
