DETAILS

A rare collection of plays, as they were acted at the theatre, Smoke-Alley, Dublin.

Featuring an engraved frontispiece depicting a scene from \"School for Scandal\", and one further plate.

Containing \"The school for scandal\", \"The Duenna\", \"The agreeable surprise\", \"Love a-la-mode\", and \"The poor soldier\".

CONDITION

In a half calf binding, with marbled boards. Externally, light rubbing to the boards, with minor wear to extremities. Both hinges are very slightly strained. Internally, generally firmly bound, with some leaves working loose. Bright throughout, with the odd spot, light off-setting to the title page, and heavy foxing to pages 40-51. Copperplate ink signature to the title page, dated 1810. Overall: GOOD.
