For those of you who enjoy using the \"www.925-1000.com\" website to help you with silver identification, you should know that this elegant English spoon appears to perhaps be a companion to the Thomas Wallis Stuffing Spoon featured on the British Hallmarks page of that site. This serving spoon is shorter than a traditional stuffing spoon. Warm antique patina to the silver. Script monogram.

SIZE: About 8 9/16\" long. Nice weight at 69 grams.

MARKS: On reverse ~ Lion Passant (sterling silver standard), crowned Leopard\'s head (for London 1478-1822), \"o\" in cartouche (likely for 1789 - \"O\"s are tough because it is hard to tell if they are lower case or upper case - if not lowercase for 1789, then would be upper case for 1809), the head of King George III is mostly worn, maker\'s mark for Thomas Wallis. That is my best read of the marks - take a look and you be the final judge.

CONDITION: Antique item. No problems. Expect some tarnish.
