Magnificent Russian icon measuring 18\" by 14\"(weighs 7.3 lbs.) with unbelievable detailing in the tin and copper(3rd and 4th most valuable metals respectively after gold and silver), Old Church Slavonic painted on enamel, one small spot where the printed imageis worn on the bottom left, otherwise no damage, felt backing completely intact, entire piece nailed to wood,astunningwork of Russian religious art. (Please note that these icons were made for the priest to hold above his head during ceremonies for adoration and veneration. Although this piece is in totally original condition,asmallpiecewas probablyadded on the back later for hanging).
