1800s Handcarved Coin Operated Pub/bar Game,works,uk Made,w/key, Mechanical Bank:
What we have to offer is a piece like no one has ever seen and could be the most rare pub game known. My aunt was born in London Uk,she is 94 with no kids or any other family in the UK and simply cannot take care of herself anymore.I went last week with my wife to help move her and move her out of her flat. The loft she had was above a Pub where she worked for many years. There are 5000 pubs in London. So what i did was move most of her stuff to the Stockport Local Collection Charity. The game i could not part with, she did have some things i need to sell to get her some money, the state pays for her to live but other needs exist.Well about the piece,100 percent hand carved by a master,If anyone can help with the maker i will pay for the info. However as the piece shows, it really does not take away from the game if no maker is known as it was handmade. The head seems to be missing his hat, ears arecarved as well as the whole head. The way themechanism is made is AWESOME,works so nice like it was just done today, as slow as you go there is mouth movement. The 2 studs on the side are where the power came into the game, not sure what the hinge back was for but was well made, also has high end brass lock WITH original key.The top of the box fits flush inside the box and sets in there nice and tight but comes out easy as made, unless locked.Could work for bank as well as it does the same, put money in and it takes it mechanically, and locks.Wood box is awesome with NO rot.original finish on box and original paint on head.Never hooked up the power, its all there. The handle has 2 wires and 2 contacts for the coin, when it goes in the head lights up.As i say the power has NOT been tested but does exist, can ship anywhere double boxed and insured. On Mar-14-13 at 20:36:27 PDT, seller added the following information:
Added 2 last pictures showing rear and the underside better. The 2 bright spots in the picture of the inside of the box is a pair of UK Pounds used for testing, this guy works with all money from everywhere, how many machines can do that? The underside is all hooked up since new and still works as such.
