DETAILS
An exceptionally scarce collection of coloured military maps of India from theearly 19th century.
The First Anglo-Maratha War (1775?82) was the first of three Anglo-Maratha wars fought between the British East India Company and Maratha Empire in India. The war began with the Treaty of Surat and ended with the Treaty of Salbai.
Containing six diagrams of military manoeuvres for the Battle of Assye, the Battle of Lasswary, and the Battle of Delhi (no collation available).
CONDITION
In original paper wraps. Externally, worn, with both wraps detached and some loss and closed tears. Ink signatures to the front board, and some handling marks. Internally, binding has failed and maps are disbound. Pages have some foxing,some handling marks, and someclosed tears. Overall:FAIR.
