This is a pair of letters, 1821 and 1822, Massachusetts, Militia, first from Colonel James Abbott to General William Crawford regarding the colors of the regiment being in very poor shapeand the second from William Hastings of Mendon, Mass to Major Heard hoping to stop a court martial on men who have been given their discharges. Letter from Colonel Abbott is 8x10, folds, addressed outer leaf, second letter from William Hastings is 6x8, with paper loss at top.
