Offering up a nice 1826 teapot composed of sterling silver and wood handle. Pot measures around 11 inches from end of handle to spout and 6.25 inches wide, and about 5.25 inches tall. Weight 771 grams (approximate). Fully marked on bottom, see pictures. Made by Benjamin Smith No 2, date mark for 1826. Has matching marks on lid, BS, Lion, date letter (often this are replaced and not fully marked). No monogram but includes an old family crest. Also includes some rubbed engravings or old crests on outside surface. Condition is good for age. There a several pinpoint type dings and few repairs. Handle is solid but slightly askew. Interior shows signs of previous solder repair. Presentation surface shows evidence of a past repair. Lid opens and closes properly, small hole in lid (appears to be there for a reason, to aide pouring?).
