Thiswonderful English silvercondiment set is hallmarked as shown. The carrier stands about 10 1/4 inches tall from foot bottomto the top of the handle andmeasures about 9 1/2 inches in length.The makers hallmark looks to be one used between 1829 and 1846 by Edward and John Barnard. I have read that they were London silversmiths. I am not an expert in English silverand I have not been able to identify the meaning of all the marks.The tops to the condiment jars and shakersare clearly silverplate as they have wear showing through to copper but I don\'t know if the carrier is plate or sterling. In either case the set is really beautiful. The set is completely original and all the crystal pieces have amatching pattern. There areseven crystal condimentpieces along with the silver carrier. The carrier base and the fixture that holds the crystal is held together with wing nuts (original) to allow easy cleaning and polishing. The condition of every piece is amazing, even the crystal stoppers are unbroken. The only real flaw is the silver wear to the jar and bottle tops.
