Maine to Edgefield Courthouse, South Carolina.

It is from the Thompson family from 1840 and has great content including:

A bright spot has begun in the West it grows brighter

and brighter the light spreads wider and wider and by

November next the whole harrison will be in a blaze,

the name of William Henry Harrison is spreading over the country like wildfire,

I heard of influential men in every part of the country who

have been Van Buren men that are now rallying under the

Harrison Banner some I could name in this town...

Harrison if he lives will be the next President of these United States,

Maine will give him her vote mark that but whether he gets

the vote of Maine or not he will probably get the vote of

20 states out of the 26, what a glorious field, brother here will

be for reform when Harrison takes the Presidential chair

what a shaking among the dry bones..
