1840 Exotic Hardwood North African Carved Male and Female Heads
Both are in excellent condition and have ancient bovine inserts. Both items have a lovely patina and you can see the dense wood grains and the slightly lighter colour on one edge. The male and female are distinctive and very well carved with strong profiles but look like real people compared to others I have seen. They are wonderful, tactile and smooth.
Being sold to support my daughter who is travelling to Ecuador in Summer 2017 to undertake community work for CAMPS INTERNATIONAL CHARITY. She will be planting tropical hardwoods, teaching English and building schools and needs to raise a great deal of funds to support this of £4K+
