$48.00
Here\'s an excellent condition, brass or bronze medal or token, 15/16\"that was for the of the first, successful Whig Party President, William Henry Harrison, which goes clear back to 1840. He and his supporters ran a campaign that depicted him as having lived in a log cabin since he had been a frontier Governor of the Northwest Territory. This was after his career as a General in the War of 1812 - remember the campaign slogan:\"Tippicanoe and Tyler, too!.\" Actually, Harrison was a wealthy descendant who grew up in a fancy house in Virginia. But,since when, did the hype around a Presidential candidate fit reality? Just thank God there was no MSNBC then. It\'s just so amazing to have American, Presidential campaign material available, in this nice of a shapethat, next year, will be 175 years old!
