I cannot stress enough how beautiful this mapis up close compared to the photos that you see. Note that the photos do not do the map justice. Thisis truly an incredible map to behold!! This is your chance to own a map that can be the centerpiece of your collection.

Map Details: Extremely rareand gorgeous map byMitchell fromhis iconicUniversal Atlas.What stands out on this first edition map and are the famous characteristics of this atlas is thesage greenborders as well as the deep and very colorful original hand coloring compared to later editions of the atlas. Again, each and every region that you see colored was painstakingly individually hand colored by a Mitchell employee back then making each map a unique piece and one of a kind piece of art as well. The map shows incredible geographic details.Note that any red or dark blue lines that you see on the map are actually part of the map and denote the railroads and canals and they are not pen marks that somebody wroteon the map.The complete atlas that this map comes from sells forover $5,000so my low price for this one rare map from this atlas is areally greatdeal. Thismap is from my personal collection.You would be hard pressed to find this rare map anywhere at all let alone in this kind of condition. I will entertain offers as well.

General Description:

Strikingly interesting andhighly detailed map.The map depicts in great detailall of the geographical information known at the timethe map was published.Note that many geographical details have changed since the map was published and were not accurate compared to today\'s modern maps because things were fully discovered and accurately mapped yet. Map symbols and details include individual towns, rivers, lakes, bays, harbors, islands, mountains, forests, roadsand other important places as shown on the map in this listing.

2. The map is inexcellent condition consideringthe age and rarity of the map.The overall size of the map sheet is approximately17 inches by13 inches.

3. The map is a 100% original and genuine antique map.

All of my maps are investment grade and collectible quality. The value of this original will only increase over time. Many people are now starting to offer cheap reproductions/copies. Why spend the money for something like that when you can have an original for a few dollars more that will only increase in value over time.
