1850 US Stampless folded letter with black Plymouth Sep 6 Mass. (September - Massachusetts) circular dated postmark at upper left --- V at upper right --- addressed to James Deshon Esq, Boston (Massachusetts) --- N. Russell & Co, September 7 in script on inside flap --- seal is present with hole torn in corresponding back flap from opening

Letter is dated Plymouth, September 6, 1850, and begins, James Deshon Esq, Sir --- it is a business letter placing an order --- the writer says, \"We think we shall be in want of one more small cargo of Put[?]n Coal say of about sixty to seventy chaldrons\" --- he continues that if his conditions can be met, \"please to drop a line by mail & we will send an order at once.\"

He bargains, \"We had an oppty [opportunity] to engage one small cargo at five cents less per chaldron than the cost you engaged of a Capt. who has been at this place many times\" --- signed, Your obedient Servant, N.
