This is a Large 1853 Cent- Braided Hair Liberty Head Coin.I had no choice but to clean the coin !!!!This coin was found in a lot that my deceased father in law acquired and stored in plastic sleeves in a notebook.There was no way I could determine the date or condition or show the coin without the cleaning which was done with a soft paper towel and tarnish remover polish.I did my cleaning quickly and if you choose, you can likely remove more of the dirt and tarnish.
This coin in my opinion, is Very Fine and close to Extremely Fine !!!!The coin is in better condition with more detail than I can capture with my camera.The color was affected by the cleaning and the lighting in the photo.The coin is copper and it has the color of a lightly circulated Lincoln penny.I am NOT a Professional collector !!PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS !!!!!The coin will be shipped in a padded envelope.Feel free to email any questions.I have other vintage coins that are currently up for offer on .
