Bound in unusual and brilliant light green embossed cloth with gilt-embossed decoration of roses on front cover; spine lightly faded, but gilt-embossed decoration still bright.

Not a particularly uncommon book, but the light green cloth is unusual for this period, and usually not found so bright.

A particularly beautiful pre-Civil War binding, in uncommonly brilliant condition.

Selections of poetry and prose including works by Nathaniel P. Willis, T.S. Arthur, Daniel Webster, Fanny Forrester, etc.
