Octavo. 864 pages. Hardcover quarter bound inblack leather with marbled boards. Binding is rubbed, especially where hinges meet spine. Leather is chipped on spine. There is a 3.5 inch spliton the rear hinge at the headcap. The front flyleaf has a bookseller\'s blind-stamp of Williams, Hardham and Plum, Book Binders, 278 Broad St, Newark, N.J. on top right corner. Written notation at top right corner of title page. Text is foxed. Some slight dampstaining at the bottom of some pages. Page 227 has detached from the binding but has been placed loosely in the book.
