1859 Beckers Sweetheart TABLE MOUNTED w/drop down lens stereoscope stereoviewerThis is a viewer that for many people is a holy grail of viewers which that is one that is a table mount originally made from a company like Beckers as this one is. They are seldom seen anymore which I have been fortunate to own several over the years. You can find them picture like this in old stereoviews from the 1860s-70s but in person don\'t show up too often. I listed & sold another one here last year of which was a similar model. This one needs restored. The belt had fallen apart from age and from holding glass views which if made properly can hold glass views just like Becker wanted them too 160 years ago. There are some parts in the box like the lower rod and top knob / rod. For the pictures above I did not have the viewer screwed in the table but screws in nicely & easily. The 4 legged table would be in good condition & 100% original with the wood in good shape overall but has a couple spots around the rim that could be touched up or filled in too. The viewer body overall is in good condition with a little wavey to the drop down lens side but wood is solid & stable. 1 of the lens is chipped and 1 of the other lens has a crack. Eye pieces look decent. Just a nice parts unit that is not far from being complete & working. People buy regular Beckers viewers to use parts off them to restore viewers like this one which I just don\'t restore things as I have always like to keep things original. This one once restored would be a great $3500+ type viewer too based on previous sales of 5 that I know of. On shipping there would be 2 boxes, 1 for the table & parts and the 2nd box for the viewer being shipped USPS priority. Since I am traveling to visit people there is also a good chance I can deliver this to you or to a location for you just inquire for my terms on that and my schedule.
