- I purchased this Georgia White Marble Confederate Soldiers Headstone in Macon, Georgia. It was supposed to be destroyed along with 6 other headstones from 1864 ( I learned there was a battle there) when they were replaced by the Federal Government in the 1920\'s. The man that installed the newly issued headstones took them to his house and turned them upside down and made a floor with them. 100 years later people were tearing the porch down and found them. THIS HISTORIC CONFEDERATE HEADSTONE NEEDS AND REQUIRES A RESPECTFUL AND PERMANENT HOME.The Headstone is stained with Georgia Red Clay, it is SOLID.
