Very rare and original, 1860’s Civil War period Bird\'s-Eye-View Stereoview Photograph by Mathew Brady of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.

This wonderful, original flat mount stereo photo measures approx. 7\" by 3 3/8\" and is mounted on its original, yellow colored, flat card mount. There is an affixed label on the reverse with printed text that reads: \"War Views. / No. 2167 / Harpers Ferry and the Shenandoah Valley, from Maryland Height. / Published by E. & H. T. Anthony & Co. / American and Foreign Stereoscopic Emporium, 501 Broadway, New-York\".

This very rare, original Civil War Stereoview Image features a seldom seen view of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia taken from a high vantage point looking down of the town located at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers where the states of Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia meet.

This very rare and original, Civil War Stereoview Photo is in very good condition. The Photographic Images exhibit sharp focus, strong contrast and rich tonality. There is some soiling and foxing to the Images and some edge wear to the mount.
